Sportsmatch is the governments business incentive for sport. It is designed to improve the quality and the quantity of business sponsorship of grass roots sport in particular by:

• Introducing new businesses to grass roots sponsorship

• Encouraging sponsors of major events to extend their involvement into the grass roots

• Existing sponsors of grass roots sport to increase their support.
