Double of topping Division One and winning the Wembley arena playoff finals

1993 / 1994

During the second season of division One basketball, Mercia health Benefits agreed to sponsor the team, and sportsmatch was awarded. In recognition of the community aspects of the Crusaders programme to develop awareness and skills amongst the grass roots, the West Midlands Sports Council provided a grant towards community development of the sport. The Crusaders began to coach the wheelchair basketball team at the Midlands Sports Centre for the Disabled, Tile Hill. The national Addidas streetball 3v3 competition was held in Bond Street Car park.

On court for the Crusaders the crowd grew to somewhere around 1300 for home games, as the Crusaders completed the double of topping Division One and winning the Wembley arena playoff finals.
