It
was a surprise indeed when Hackney White Heat gave very late notice on Saturday that they
would not be making the trip to Coventry for the afternoon match.
The
tardiness of their withdrawal from the game made it impossible for Crusaders to inform
players, supporters or officials before they actually showed up at the Coventry Sports
Centre for the match.
The
decision was beyond Crusaders control, however, and all the players had left to do was
return to their homes and rest up for the trip to Kingston upon Hull on Sunday.
The
EBA has awarded the win to Coventry, which has helped their cause in their bid to be as
close to the top two unattainable spots as they can be for their playoff position.
