Stars Try to Shine in Coventry
This weekend will
give the Coventry Crusaders an excellent opportunity of gaining another
two points. Coventry’s Plumbing & Heating Supplies will be sponsoring
Crusaders game at home on Saturday (18th) against
Southampton’s Solent Stars. The two sides are right on top of each other
in the league table with one win apiece.
Crusaders are hoping
to improve their record in the league and would find it helpful going
into the next week’s fixtures, if they could pull off a win on
Saturday.
This week Crusaders
learned that they must face the on-form Paws London Capitals in the
quarterfinal stage of the National Cup on Sunday 26th Nov. at
the Coventry Sports Centre at 3:30 pm. Prior to that game Crusaders will
be playing away to Kings Lynn on the Saturday.
Player/coach Dip
Donaldson, who will be down a couple of players due to injury and other
commitments, remains optimistic about his side’s chances. Crusaders need
to play the game to the strengths of the personnel they have, and be
attentive enough to change tactics when something is not working or
someone is not shooting well.
The league challenge
between Stars and Crusaders will be an interesting and intense one, as
both sides are desperate for their second win and won’t mind too much
how they get it as long as they do.
Tickets for
Saturday’s game are priced at £6 Adults, £4 Concessions, and are
available on the door. Tip off is 7:30 pm. |
