Crusaders Hold More School Tournaments

The Coventry Crusaders put on four tournaments last week for schools in the east and west of Coventry.  The east tournaments were held at Ernsford Grange School, while the west tournaments took place at Sydney Stringer School. 

Schools participating in the year 7/8 tourney in the east were Ernsford Grange, Cardinal Wiseman, Caludon Castle, and Bluecoat C of E.  Schools participating in the year 9/10/11 tourney in the east were Ernsford Grange, Cardinal Wiseman, Bluecoat C of E, and Stoke Park.  

The year 7/8 tourney in the west included Barr’s Hill, Cardinal Newman, Woodlands, Westwood, and Finham Park.  Participants for the year 9/10/11 west tourney included Sydney Stringer, Woodlands, Finham Park, Westwood, and Cardinal Newman.   

Cardinal Wiseman won both tournaments in the east.  Barr’s Hill won the west 7/8 tourney, while Woodlands won the west 9/10/11 tourney.  For winning 1st place Cardinal Wiseman will play Barr’s Hill at half-time of the Crusaders game versus Northampton Neptunes on Dec. 2nd @ 7:30pm @ Coventry Sports Centre.  

The year 9/10/11 winners will play at a later date yet to be determined.  In all, 19 teams from 11 schools and over 150 students took part in the tournaments.  Congratulations to all participants!
