Coca-Cola Enterprises is working together with the Coventry
Sports Foundation to bring this unique sports event to local children.
A two-day event over Easter will see up to 800 10-15 year
olds of all abilities receive an intense 3 hour training session in
football and basketball skills. They will be taught by professional
coaches from Coventry City Football Club and Coventry Crusaders at The
Alan Higgs Centre.
Top football coaches will put them through their paces
improving their dribbling, passing, tackling and shooting skills. Small
sided matches will test their stamina and penalty competitions their
mental abilities.
The skills and drills of basketball will be taught by the
Coventry Crusaders’ coaches; including shooting, passing, dribbling and
defensive footwork. Competitive games will test the new skills they’ve
learned.
Sessions are to be held in the mornings (9:30-12:30) and
afternoons (13:30-16:30) of 11th and 12th April
2007. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
Registration is 30 minutes before training session where
you will be required to pay your £2 registration fee –
registration fees
will be donated to the Coventry Team for the English Rotary Disabled
Sports Championship.
