Crusader
Juniors Ready To Defend
After
making such a hit last season in their first year playing in the National League, Coventry
Crusaders Juniors will be tipping of their new season as defending champions of the
Midlands Conference Title.
There
was a false start for the team two weeks ago when a late postponement put the beginning of
their season on hold.
But now
under new Coach Roger Payne, the under 18s are raring to get on with the action and
desperate to retain their title.
There
will be some changes to the line up with one or to players being ineligible this season
given that this is an age group competition.
However,
last terms key players Ben Douglin, Nathan Pope and Captain Hardeep Khosla will be there
on court at 3pm at the Coventry Sports Centre on this coming Saturday afternoon (2nd
October) to welcome last seasons runners up Ilkeston Outlaws.
Given
to competition between these two sides last season, Saturdays game looks like it
will be nothing other than competitive.
