Crusaders Take The
Points When Wasps Dont Show
Coventry and Warwickshire Crusaders
Wheelchair team took 2 league points on Saturday with out passing a ball or taking a shot,
when their opponents, bottom of the table Wasps had difficulty in putting together a team.
They decided not to make the three hour
journey to Coventry to face an all most inevitable defeat viable.
Crusaders coach
Paul Claridge said on Saturday that this was not the best way to take the points but he
was sympathetic towards Wasps decision not to travel.
Instead he rounded
up his troops for what turned out to be a very hard and very productive training session
ahead of their next game this coming Saturday another home fixture for Crusaders against
Hemel Aces.
We can afford to train hard
today, as we were expecting to play a game and have a week to recover.
And train hard they
did, looking highly impressive and extremely competitive.
Crusaders have
still had just one defeat this season, when they lost by a single point to Stratford
Players in December.
They are therefore
looking to take revenge next month when Stratford visit Coventry.
