It's
the clash of the Titan's this weekend at City College Tile Hill.
Having
picked up more points last week at home to Colchester, Coventry Crusaders Wheelchair Team
face their toughest test so far, as the team takes on the only team to have beaten them
this season, Stratford Players.
In
what promises to be a thrilling encounte,r Crusaders need to win by two points or more to
gain advantage over their fellow Midlanders.
It
was a nail biting finish when these two sides faced each other in the run up to Christmas,
with Stratford steeling the win on the buzzer 40 39.
Crusaders
however, are fitter, and go deeper now than they were then.
They
are confident that this along with home court advantage will put an end to Stratford's
100% record and see Crusaders regain pole position in the league and their quest for
promotion.
Slow
off the blocks last week against Colchester, Crusaders picked up pace in the second half,
with Sho Ayub particularly on form with his second half shooting, resulting in a
convincing win.
Against
Stratford though, Crusaders need to be on target from the start to put some space between
them and the opposition, to avoid giving them selves so much to do in the closing period.
The
team must have a quick turn around with back-to-back games as Sunday sees them travel to
Greenwich to take on Wasps.
Struggling
Wasps have won just 1 game so far this season, when they beat foot of the table Bristol.
They picked up the points when Bristol chose not to travel to Greenwich, the same way
Crusaders did when Wasps stayed at home last month.
Saturdays
tip off at City College Tile Hill Coventry is at 11:30am.
