Crusaders second league game was also a home fixture and yet another win!

A small group of visitors, including a new junior player, were welcomed to Woodlands by a full Crusader squad with a welcome return to the playing strength of both John and David Watkins and Frances Mahoney, championing the female presence on court.

Crusaders took an early lead with Sahial and Steve picking up baskets.  A three pointer from the visitors meant they went into the quarter break one point ahead.

Crusaders took the in quarters 2 and 3 with Sahial also getting a 3 pointer on the sheet and Carl starting to get his eye in at the end of the 2^nd quarter .  This was the start of Carl’s scoring streak with 11 of the 2^nd half points coming from him, making him top scorer for the Crusaders overall.  He was just beaten into second place with top scorer for the match going to the Albion captain, Jamie Hamilton.

The juniors on both sides all shone in the game with some tight defence work from both David Arundell and Watkins.  Albion’s Troy Hutchins was active in the key in the fourth quarter but the best junior match player was George Jeremiah with two wonderful assists for Crusaders.

Although Albion came back strongly in the final quarter, Crusaders held on to their lead until the final whistle.
