Charlotte Excels!

A keen wheelchair basketball player and lynchpin of the Crusader Wheelchair Basketball Academy junior development programme, Charlotte Moore has shown that she may be too young to join the GBWBA Div 3 team this year but she can take on the best of England’s wheelchair tennis talent and come out on top!

Charlotte, 11 was the only female junior in a National tennis competition held in Taunton over Easter. Undaunted by the lack of junior competition, Charlotte took on the adult females and came away with the singles championship for her category.

Not content with one title, Charlotte then went on to take the doubles title as well!

Proving you can excel at more than one sport, Charlotte joined the CWBA league team players at the Warwickshire League’s Festival of Basketball on April 19th, and demonstrated her basketball skills to a packed audience at Warwick University.

And Charlotte is not finished yet! For a 2nd year, Charlotte is competing in the London Marathon wheelchair mile next week. She will be raising money for 3 different charities as well as proving that she is the complete wheelchair athlete.

Well done Charlotte and good look for the Marathon!
